You could go to the mokey forrest in trentham.
Its a great day out with gardens for the adults etc.
The actual forrest contains free roaming monkeys and children love that kind of thing.
If youre anywhere near crewe/sandbach there is wheelock farm which is free to enter. They have a park and various animals which the children can feed. Theres also a cafeteria which offers some lovely homebaked food and caters for children too!
The shop on site holds some real delights!
Have fun.

There are so many things you can do to entertain a 6 year old. You could have a picnic in the park, or throw a tea party. You could go kite flying,(my daughters used to love that). A zoo would be fun or any type of festival in the area.
Just use your imagination or ask her what she would like to do.

do you want to spend money, or do you want to make aday to remember, do find out what she likes to do , is she interested in horses, not many six year old girls are not, loads of riding stables that will take complete novices for a hour or two that wont skin you
blackpool will cost its not cheap, walking up to indians head on the saddleworth moor its free , take a kite with you, cheap fun for tired kids, if she is into nature a visit to the manchester museam, great
value, an allday visit.goodluck lf

If you are near Cheshire, go to the Crocodile Trail. Take a picnic. It's outdoors.
