I dye my hair too. I use very mild shampoo formula's to wash with. Always condition after! Depending on type of dye used and the reaction of my hair to it, I don't wash my hair daily but wet it once or twice a day in the shower.

While hair is still damp I take coconut oil, only a little, rub between my hands and work thru' my hair. (Seals in some of the water along the hair shaft).

If I want to style it/condition my hair I use old fashioned red-tub Brylcream worked thru' damp hair. Takes a week of doing this to get your hair back to normal after a dye job.

You can also bump-up the conditioning level by oiling your hair before washes.

Patene works great to hydrate all types of hair, because it deals with the hair follicles vs the hair type, so multi use by all!
Try it!
