It's all about education, which you will need later on in life. You will always need grammar and language skill's, even though in this day and age too many people are using text spelling for many things. If you text spell your C.V. you could become unemployable, as people may think you are illiterate. Numeracy is another fundamental skill, you will always need Math. Yes even in this day of computers, us lowly humans still require the knowledge of reading, writing, and math. So when the all powerful beast that is computers goes up in smoke, we humans can read the repair manual, and count out the money for the repairs.
Education also give us the chance to learn about the world, with history and geography. It would be nice if more people actually learnt history, as it is a good way to not commit the same mistake twice. Hind sight is a wonderful thing and that is what history gives us, hind sight, and a second chance.

A Levels certainly do matter. More and more jobs nowadays are demanding A Levels. In order to attend university, you must have at least 3 A Levels. Fact is, if you wanna become a professional in the working world, you need at least one degree and you cannot have a degree without those 'extra' subjects.

A Levels were very frustrating (made me pull my hair out half of the time. lol) But they were very beneficial.

if u wanna go on to further education then yeah! I went on to college for 3 years and studied music and i had all D's and 1 C in gcse's! the C was in office applications! At the end of my 3 years i decided not to go on to uni even though all my friends went! I went into greenkeeping and now I'm on my way to getting qualified to be a greenkeeper! its all good! U can do anything as long as u put your mind to it! over experience i've noticed that i'm still at the same level of living as my other friends who got higher grades than me and went on to do degrees! A grade doesn't mean your anymore of a person! plus if your fit then thats the most important thing!!! ;-}

erm.... in my case yes. I buckled (swotted) down because i knew they would be my 'passport' to 'better' myself and avoided doing worthless/soul destroying jobs. I know some wealthy/successful people do fine without it but that because 'luck' has fallen on them. Dont rely on luck so I would do your best of your ability to achieve these qualifications.

I am a designer and I absolutely love it. I dont think of it as a way to earn money but something to enjoy while passing the time! Even though i am not making millions, I am glad I stuck to my belief cos i have done jobs like barworks, cleaning, catering which anyone can do but found it rather depressing and hard to get out of bed for. i am not knocking at people in these industry but glad i could do something i really like to do and earn money too if that makes sense?

good luck with what ever paths you choose! they do make big differences!

Yes they do! I wish I had now took high school more seriously and would now not be doing a degree at uni in my late 30s - 37 to be exact!

If you want to have a good career and a good lifestyle education is everything.
