The African-Americans, were brought to this country, against their will. Eventually, after the Abolishion, they were free to come and go.(December 2) But, at that time, many of the original 'slaves', had passed, and their children were born, here.(Legally, making them citizens) The older people, (obviously, in their position, couldn't really, feasibly 'go' back)I would assume the act of Abolishment, made them citizens, as well.
In the case of the Native Americans (*my heritage)They were already here, the settlers, and explorers were citizens of England, France, Spain, etc. 'they' were the outsiders. They claimed the land(s) for what and whom they chose.
The Mexican-people, are citizens of Mexico, such as Canadians are citizens of Canada, etc. Anyone can come here to work, and do not have to become a citizen. BUT, they do have to obtain, permission (work-visa) to legally work.
I feel, the 'big-deal' is about, the 'people' who come here, illegally, and work. Many, if not all, the jobs, that Mexican citizens are performing, are jobs, citizens of this country, would not want to do, let alone for the wages and zero benefits, the Mexicans receive. Also, since many factories and industrial plants have 'moved' to Mexico, in order to 'save' on wages and manufacturing costs, I believe, is what really, has some people in this country, upset. They should be upset with the businesses, themselves, because, it is due to 'corporate-greed', that this is happening!
*I used the term-(Mexican) because referring to citizens of Mexico, although I normally refer to Mexican-Americans as Hispanic, and I live in an area, that is comprised of a large number of Hispanic people.

We didn't come illegally, and we didn't take services others paid for like education and health care illegally. It is a fact that the taxes poor people pay are low and don't cover more than a small part of the cost of the services they use. The more children they have, the more strain on the services they don't pay for. That is why we limit the number of poor immigrants who can come, not just from Mexico, but from all over the world.
Due to proximity, however, it is the Mexicans who make up the bulk of our illegal immigrant population.
It isn't who they are, it is how expensive they are and how much of a strain they put on our services.

It's only illegal if Mexican people come to the US without going through the proper channels to do so. We have tons of legal immigrants in the US. My own family emigrated from Italy 40 years ago.
It would be chaos if we were to have an open-border policy. If we let everyone that wanted to live in the US we would have schools that could not meet demand, an agricultural system that would need to expand quickly (and it would soon meet its capacity), language barriers everywhere, overpopulation the likes we've never seen, and, ultimately, economic crises everywhere.

After europeans came here, they were controlled by the brittish. After the revolutionary war, they set up their own government with laws, which pretty much means that they claimed the country as the united states of america. Later with all fifty states in place, countries agreed on set boarders and boundaries that people can't cross without agreeing to adhere to our laws and regulations. Many other people in the world come to the U.S. legally. They learn our laws and our language. It is extremely hard to gain citizenship to Mexico. If an American wants to become a citizen of Mexico or Canada or any other country they have to follow their laws and rules. It should be no different for people of Mexican descent.

It's not illegal for Mexicans to come to America. It is illegal to cross our borders on a whim and set up shop so to speak. There are people coming across the border with criminal intent on their minds, as well as those that have zero job skills, education, and a means to support themselves. Then the illegals. try to turn the area they invaded into the **** hole they just left. People who come into the country thru proper channels are more than welcome. But, these people are educated and have a support system in place to help them assimilate.

Our ancsetors did one thing different. They gave their money to Unlce Sam. IE- They payed taxes.
When tax time comes and Sam didn't get what he specified watch what sweet justice there will be
Not to mention the back taxes that are owed.
WOW!! This should be pretty cool to see what's going to happen, as they continue to cheat the government. Tax season is a a little under a year away. Expect justice to move a little slowly. It will take awhile, but this abuse of America wil not go unnoticed when the IRS doesn't get theirs.

Key word, Illegal, means without any legal papers. It's not just Mexicans, pertains to all foreign countries.
Americans cannot legally live in Mexico, without legal papers. Americans cannot live legally in Canada, without legal papers.
Canadians cannot legally live here without legal papers.
Immigration laws are implemented to keep Criminals from entering the country, every country. Always been so.
Can you say, "Terrorists"?
What don't you understand about "legal" and "Illegal'?

Mexicans to go to America is not illegal. Its the way they go in that's illegal - they don't have permits to enter the USA, they are undocumented. Mexicans have ancestors in the US as well. Mexicans aren't the only ones who go to the US illegally.

It isn't illegal for them to come here -- just for them to come as "stow-a-ways" They, and any other immigrant, need to go throught the right channels, do things the right way and then support the nation they are living in. Taxes is one way they can do this, but also through building communities in a positive way. I am all for people seeking a better life in America, but it has to be done right.

It's not illegal for them to come here. It's illegal to sneak into the country and live here secretly. If we allowed anyone from anywhere to come here without scrutiny, Osama Bin Laden could come here and get a job. Hitler and Mousilini could have also done this. So could an ax murder from wherever.
