No not at all, the boy has to be mature enough to look to the future and picture the beautifull smile after the braces come off.

in case you save stable dental hygiene, you will not have stained teeth from smoking, espresso, or something . I certainly have acquaintances who've been smoking for 4-6 years and their teeth are as white as all people else.

when i was 17.. i went out with several bracewearing girls.. it dont matter as long as the teeth are clean...(no food bits in there..)
anyway.. its about whats inside than looks..........
