hi there
i have a similar hair style to al pacino, just shorter
http://www.quepasa.com/newsimages/content/325245/Al%20Pacino.jpg
anyway, he seems to be able to style it so naturally, when i do it, i have to use gel, and lots of it, and hence it looks really unnatural. sometimes when i wear a hat for a few hours then take it off, my hair is molded and kinda stays in shape while looking natural without any gel. when i dont use gel, it doesnt stay in place, and soft breeze could blow it apart.
anyway, can someone show me how i can make my hairstyle look similar to the pic, it might not be the best example i can find, but heaps of guys have that style, i see them on the streets all the time, but none of them ever use gel.
thanks for any help
cheers

thanks for all your replies.
but when i use hair spray, its the same deal with gel, i have to use heaps of it for it to stay in place, and it is usually really rock hard and looks stupid. when i only use a bit of spray, its not enough to keep the hair down, and a slight breeze could wreck it COMPLETELY.
heres another similar pic

(i dont look anything like pacino or de niro), lol, but as you can see from his pic, it looks natural, if the wind blew on his head, sure the hair will move, but if he went indoors, it'll probably slide back into place, if that happaned to me, the entire hair style is GONE.
thanks all
