especially in great trouble.!

Because they don't want to get in trouble for what they have done. If a person tells you they don't care to get in trouble, never believe them. Everyone is scared to some degree. I think ownership is important, so I own up to it and tell the truth :)

That is a natural flight or fight response.Bcoz, if they tell the truth they know that they r going to b in bigger trouble, to avoid that trouble they have to lie.

1) Because they believe they can get away with it by lying and,

2) Because they don't understand simple logic:

If I tell the truth, I am punished.

If I lie (and am discovered), I am punished for the original trouble and then punished more for covering it up with a lie (perjury).
