The federal government is doing little to nothing to stop illegal immigration. States, cities and counties appear to be enacting laws which crack down on illegal immigration.
Do you believe that this type of crack down will cross the entire nation to bypass the federal government?

What other choice do they have? At some point, someone needs to start responding to the issues and concerns raised by actual americans. If the federal government won't, that kind of leaves it to the states. Seeing as how several states are on the pointy recieving edge of the problem, and have the best perspective on the issue, it's probably for the best that they take the lead on it.
Mexico could show a little civic initiative and start discouraging people from moving across our border illegally, they might do so more rapidly if their failure to do it meant less money coming from the United States to them....they have farms, they have people, they have money, they have all the fundamental building blocks of a successful situation, but they seem to lack the initiative. Building the border fence just might give them that initiative....

Actually I think the problem is being addressed. Just recently in a very small Oklahoma town a business was essentially shut down after they arrested almost the entire work force of illegal aliens. Unfortunately they don't seem to be inclined to arrest the owner of the business for hiring them in the first place.

The states that live along the border have the authority to activate their guard unit and post them on the border. The states should have more authority than the Federal Government. I sure don't want to see it the other way.

Yes I do-we are seeing it more and more. And I think the Government is OK with that fact as it takes the pressure off of them. They just will not admit it.

No I do not think that any part of the government is going to do anything at all. If they were going to do something they would have started.

certainty is immigrants are mandatory for the roles others do no decide for to settle for, a loss of them has led to many smaller businesses based upon them to fold. a minimum of they're keen to artwork make a contribution to the economic device and are not on welfare using up our annoying earned tax funds..human beings decide for a huge gamble.the u . s . exchange into outfitted on immigrants,and could proceed to decide for them to stimulate our economic device.
