If it is for you to eat, make it however you like it. Most chili competitions have rules against beans though.

Chili with beans is called chili con carni, meaning with beans.

It you like it with beans, use beans.

Whatever you prefer. I think beans are great. I even put shredded cheese on mines, not in the pot but in my bowl. It is great with crushed red peppers. Remember beans are high in fiber.

Yes, beans are very good for you, a good source of fibre and protein and they have no real taste anyway.

yes, kidney beans and chick peas are good, it gives the chilli texture... otherwise it would be like eating soup... :)
