It sounds like your mother has a very serious control problem and she needs help...

Unfortunately too many American mothers are like this and I myself fell victim to it in my recent childhood. I suggest you sit your mom down and tell her that it's time to "let go."

Otherwise when it really does come time for her... she will have some serious breakdown issues

Have him come over a introduce himself as your boyfriend.
Example:
Hello Mrs. Smith I'am, Joe your daughter boyfriend would she happen to be home. etc. Then let them talk.
Everything will be alright after that, She may not like the idea of you having a boyfriend, but she'll hate it even more if you keep it from her. Because sooner or later Parents always find out your secrets.

Hi QT, Here you have to start with changing mindset of your mother... Start acting mature... stop being kiddish...Your mother will start realising that you have grown up now and not a kid anymore.... Then it will not be difficult for her to accept that you to can have a BF.
Tips to act mature.....
Donate things that you don't use anymore....(Kids generally can't give away anything)
Discuss with your mother / parents about your country, economy etc....
Try & learn cooking....
Do all your household jobs by yourself.... Cleaning your room, washing cloths..
I know its too much but can't you do this much for your BF and trust me any of the above are not at all harmful..

why not slowly breaking it to her. like hinting that you would like companionship or something at first. then romantic stuff. i agree though, that MAYBE your mom has some control issues that she needs to confront with first. or you could always ask help from your relatives who could like help tell her (and restrain her, if worse comes to worst)
Godbless.
