NIGERIA, Africa's giant home to 256 tribal groups. population nearing 150 million (one in five African is a Nigerian) there's bound to friction but Nigeria's moto: is Unity, strenght, peace and progress.. Nigeria's eagle (idi) represents her bravery while the two horses represents her strenght. The two lifelines of the country the mighty Niger and benue rivers flows into a confluence in the middle of the shield. The black represents the rich soil but also these days it also represents oil the black gold The green patch is the agricultural activity of the country.
Despite strives we have made progress because both religeous and tribal unrests represensents an insignificant part of the progress Nigeria has made and it's immense contribution to peace and progress in the world.
Those who know Nigeria for email scams are those who dont wish the country well. There are world beauty Queens come from Nigeria, nobel price winner to olympic footbal champions to name a few of her achievents.
Those of us who have the priviledge of been born a Nigerian are very proud of her and will defend and protect her to our last breadth. We have made strives in democracy and stamping out corruption by setting up an untouchable incorrigible unit called the EFCC to tackle faudsters and economic saboteurs

Well the Nigerian Coat of Arms is a pretty impressive one. With all those emblems of Eagle, Horse, The Rivers - Niger & Benue, Fertile land, crops and such but more importantly, the reality of who or what Nigeria is today is a very far cry from what the Coat of Arms represents. "Unity & Faith, Peace & Progress". I sincerely wish as is on the Coat of Arms is as it is in Nigeria today, unfortunately not! But hopefully it is getting better each and every day which we thank God for.

Wales isn't on there because it was a part of the Kingdom of England at the time that Great Britain was formed, that's the only reason. In my opinion, the arms ought to use the second English quarter to include a gold dragon on a red field. St Stephen's Crown should stay since it's the one used to crown monarchs, and the lion up top represents Britain in it's entirety, not just England. It's also worth noting that as a heraldic creature, unicorns cannot be crowned as they are symbols of innocence and purity. The Scottish unicorn is instead gorged with a diadem as a symbol of equality. The daffodil should be added to the mound for equality. The Order of the Garter is on there because honour takes precedence, and the Order of the Garter is the most prestigious, honourable order in existence, with the Order of the Thistle coming in second. Dieu Et Mon Droit was adopted when the Kingdom of Great Britain was formed - so you have the Scots to blame for that, not us.

At one point in time, there was unity in that country. Greedy leaders made it what it is today. People struggle everyday to get by. George s, you are an ignorant idiot to say what you did. Most people in that country are good, God fearing people. Every country has its bad apples, don't generalise.
