I don't like it when someone says "we're all immigrants". Not if you are BORN in the U.S.
Someone born in the U.S. is a native born American. Not an immigrant AT ALL. So I wish people would stop saying that nonsense.

This is the 21st century. In today's world, the global population is estimated(just a guess) to be some 6.5 billion people. The world has changed drastically in 100 short years, to the point where it starts getting into Alvin Toffler's "future shock"-type territory.
Immigration laws that were written 50,60,100 years ago aren't going to cut the mustard in 21st century america, there's about 280 million legal residents of the US, plus guests, and it'd be in the best interest of all to get some healthy, thorough immigration reforms happening, starting with a functional enforcement mechanism. Since people are mainly hopping the fence to get a job, dry up the jobs by invoking employer enforcement. Our economy will survive a little housecleaning. Mexico needs to clean their own house, too. Clean houses and a good fence will make for good neighbors, I think.

If you actually believed in old school values, then you would realize that America was built on the backs of immigrants, and your ancestors that decided to come to this great country were immigrants. Your ancestors are rolling over in their graves in despise of your idiotic statements against immigrants

Not if you were born here. That would make you native.
They don't want to understand the difference because it makes them lose the argument.

Legal, illegal, there is no difference.
I have better education, speak better English than most "legals".
Everyone who's come to this country has been illegal, starting with Columbus-the "alien invader". Thanks God today's illegals are not committing genocide as Columbus did...
