My parents got into a big fight over my sister because she's wasting gas and needs to fill up her car every other day.and my dad wants her to get more money to fill it up and my mom says it doesnt matter how much u put into it, its just the thought that u have a lot of gas, u'll go everywhere with it. Then they start screaming and i got no idea where my dad is. My mom took me and my sister upstairs and she starts screaming telling my sister to fill up her gas to the max because ur stinky father thinks that im controlling u both.she's like dont i give u enough money to spend on whatever u want?then i left the room and sat outside..and when my sister left, my mom came out and asked me a question and i kept saying i dont know because i dont want to get involved in this sh*t. then she started crying saying "am i talking to the wall,am i not a good enough mother that u guys treat me like a jerk.ur father is a nice guy.i should just leave this house. Then she slammed the door. what do i do?

Money and gas are more about how your sister fits in the family.

Your parents may be more worried that since she is spending so much $ that she could be spending $ badly ... or that her driving could be taking her to dangerous places like a bad boyfriend, smoking, alcohol ... just what parents worry about.

Good parents will teach their children how to spend money, and how to communicate. They are simply doing their parental duties, and if this confrontation didn't take place, well that would show that your parents don't care.

What can you do? Find joy in your family ... love yourself ... and realize that you can't control this, only observe and learn.

usual if you keep your car at at least a half a tank it is easier on the engine........ but obviously there is more going on here then just filling up a stupid gas tank. When your parents are fighting about every there are fighting about nothing. The fact that they involve you and your sister in their screaming matches shows the unstableness that's in their relationship. The thing that sucks for you and your sister is there is nothing you could say or do to highlight that because parents don't want to be parented. You need to remember that their fighting isn't really about you, they are dragging you into their mess and it is not fair to put you in the middle and make you feel like your taking sides. If things don't get better I would tell a trusted family member or another adult, or call the doctor Phil show on them( you can email that show).

I am sorry that your home life is rough for you but talking about it with your sis or others might help. Remember no matter what (their disrespect, screaming, fighting degrading, and blaming) it is not about you. Hold your head up and I will send out go thoughts. Take care and best of luck

Sounds like your sister is spoiled.

Why can't your sister get a summer job or after school job and buy her own gas. If she is filling up her tank every other day. Where is she going?

I'm sure her friends are using her, why not, they can get what they need done and use her gas her parents are paying for.

It will all blow over!

I used to use these experiences to learn from my sisters mistakes. That way, I ddn't have the same fights centered around me or with me!

Sorry about that, the best thing is not to get involved.
