Preference. Just because I don't like Orange Juice doesn't mean I hate Oranges. Get my drift?

good question!.. and I think it could indicate some racism.
First, most racism today isn't the KKK burning crosses and lynching... it's more subtle: higher interest rates for minorities, higher insurance costs, being pulled over by the police more frequently, etc.
Now, for blacks this is *partially* perpetuated by the image the rap community reinforces and the black youths try to live up to.
However, to answer the question, it only indicates a "racist" attitude if there are other, subliminal, attitudes like those above.
If not, then it could very simply be that the cultural difference many times between racists (even in the same) city can be dramatic.
Let's face it, it's hard work to build a relationship... having to merge 2 cultures makes it exponentially harder.

i do no longer think of that's racist unavoidably. only slightly ignorant. if absolutely everyone of any ethnicity have been to declare that. even a black individual, that's form of rude. a chum of mine to a distinctive pal of mine (who's white) "lol omg you're sooo white!" by using asserting that, you're taking their lifestyle and turning it right into a unfavourable assertion. that's an identical theory while human beings say "it particularly is gay." it takes something it particularly is neither constructive nor unfavourable (only how somebody's born) and twists it to alter into an insult. i even sense an identical way while a guy calls yet another guy a b*tch. is that meant to recommend being a woman is a bad element? that's insulting and ignorant. yet racist? i do no longer think of so. a racist individual can say it, and a non racist individual can say it. however the assertion itself, i do no longer evaluate racist. relies upon on the context.

If it's purely a matter of not being interested in that particular person, it's just preference. Not being interested _because_ that person is of a certain race is racist.

I think it's a matter of preference, am not attracted to white guys with long hair, or fuzzy beards or the soldier type either. I have black guy friends but I've never been interested in them romantically.

It's a preference. Racism is a completely different thing. I think your question shows how neurotic we as a culture have become about racism. For instance, I'm not really attracted to Asian women. Just not. I am very attracted to certain Latin women (they are so beautiful!). Currently dating a wonderful woman who happens to be white and blonde. None of this is racism, just personal preference.

Why does this always have to do with racism? That is the problem with the world today, racism this, racism that. No....so what, you choose not to date somebody in your race, big deal!! This country is all about FREEDOM, is there a law that states that a person has to date within THEIR particular race? NO!!! Be happy, healthy, date who you want, and stop worrying so much!! I am so sick and tired of hearing the f-ing word RACISM!!!
