A Christian is a follower of Jesus, whom they regard as the Christ. Christians believe Jesus to be the Son of God, who lived a life befitting that of the creator of the universe, free of sin, and at the end of his earthly life was crucified, and then on the third day after his death, rose from the dead, to give a message to his followers. This belief is true of all Christian groups.
Christians believe that Jesus offers salvation; Christians accept that it is the only form of reconciliation to God, and that this is only possible because of Christ. Christians are a part of Christianity. Christians identify themselves as monotheistic, believing that there is one God. Most sects incorporate God as a perichoresis of three persons: Father (the Source, the Eternal Majesty); the Son (the eternal Logos or Word, incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth); and the Holy Spirit (the Paraclete or advocate). Today, it is estimated that there are around 2.1 billion Christians in the world making up 33% of the world population, with the largest Christian denomination being Roman Catholicism.
As a noun, Christian is an appellation and moniker deriving from the appellation "Christ", which many people associate exclusively with Jesus of Nazareth. The first known usage of this term can be found in the New Testament of the Bible, in Acts 11:26: "The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch." (Gr. ÏÏιÏÏιανοÏ
Ï). The term was first used to denote those known or perceived to be disciples of Christ.

Modes of living? Thought? Those are more complicated phrases than the Bible uses. Contrary to popular opinion (which will be most of your answers), the only thing to being a Christian is to Love God and Love People with everything you have. It's exceedingly simple. true christians live knowing God has absolute power and compassion for humans. He loves us and gave us certain guidelines to help us live a good life as recorded in the bible, though not all "laws" readily appear as beneficial to us, like don't take from your neighbours and to sacrifice animals when the israelites used to sin. And he knows our human nature is weak and we tend to break the rules but he is willing to forgive and wipe all our sins through death of jesus christ. christians know how loving and kind god really is, and having thus gained a perfect and holy status in Jesus and being assured of eternal life (which remains to be reveal as to what it is like exactly - must "feel" real good/satisfied/fulfilled anyway) they look at the present world in a different perspective, they do all things you and I do pretty much, except they tend to be more tolerant and less aggressive because they know all things that we see, like money, power, and even our very own lives are going to pass. They are less likely, if at all, to act upon the urges, well i'm sure they do still feel them cuz they are humans, and desires. It's just that they seem to understand that much of what we do and what we hold dear on a daily basis has no value in terms of eternity.

You don't HAVE to do anything to live a Christian Life. Being a Christian is that you have asked God into your life, and He is your savior, and that you accept His son's death as a sacrifice for all of your sins. After you have him in your life, you don't have to LIVE a certain way to be a Christian. You could go out and kill people, or do numerous things that aren't right, and God would still love you, and you would still be a Christian. If you forgot all about God for the rest of your life, you would still be a Christian. Christianity isn't about what you HAVE to DO> It is about what Jesus HAS DONE> i am not saying to go do numerous crimes, and kill people and forget about God, cuz your life would get pretty screwed up, but i am saying that no matter what you do, how you live, and what you say, if you accept God into your life, and jesus' sacrifice for your sins, nothing can seperate you from god's love, and stop you from being a Christian.

You don't need lots of detail and a bunch of bible verses. A Christian simply believes that Jesus Christ was the son of God and died for our sins.

Being a Christian does not mean that they are just believers of God. Yet,a true Christ 's disciple has a relationship with God.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. [John 14:6]
Jesus is the Son of God.
Matthew 18:10-14 says about the parable of the lost sheep.
10"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.[a]
The Son of Man came to save what was lost.
"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?
And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.
In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.
(This story told us about that when we are all lost in this world, not knowing where to go after we left. But God provided us with answers and gives us purpose to live in the world.Besides that, He has also provided us with a assurance.)
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life [ in heaven ].

To be "christian" you must endulge yourself into the bible, attent church meetings that will allow yourself the pleasures of being brain washed into taking over the world with the book, condeming all other faiths and religions that are not of yours and thus bashing them all and those who do not follow the bible because that is what they do. I hope that helped.

Do what the bible ask of us we follow his rules. No the rules of the preacher or prist. You have to read the bible yourself to make sure you are doing to right things. Remember its hard to be good in a world that is Govern by Satan.

being a christina mean being saved by the grace of God. Thats all it is, you have repented of your sins and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as your only way to heaven.
When Paul was giving his testimony to his proscuters,
they said to him "Thou almost persuadest me to be a christian"
The term christian is mentioned three time in the orginal one and only KJV. But ultimately the title christian is not what saves you. The bible says beleiving ON the Lord Jesus christ is what saves. Notive I say ON not IN.
"For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved""by grace are we saved, NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast"
Therefore by the deeds of the law ther shall be no flesh justifed in his sight"

Today it pretty much means that you believe that there is a God and that Jesus exists in some way, prophet, God or even some lunatic.
People take "Christian" too lightly today and we have so many heretical doctrines based on missinterpretation, or complete ignorance of the bible.
