(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. 5 You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

In all my years in the Ministry, going from house to house, I have never encounter a hostile disagreement face-to-face, as in your explanations that you give when a Witness comes to your door. You people have a fantasy mind, Hyponym: bubble, dream, fairyland, fantasy life, fantasy world, ignis fatuus, phantasy life, phantasy world, pipe dream, science fiction, will-o'-the-wisp, wishful thinking. Most of your explanations are nothing more than untruths. Which you have never said or did, you just like to toot your horn.

When I go from house to house, someone may tell me that they are on the phone, busy, or not interested, I simply say, “maybe some other time” and have a nice day, go to the next home, there is always someone that is nice & wants to talk about God's Word.

For those that say they come to the door “nude” all I would say is “you must be missing some brain cells” because no one in their right mind would deliberately come to the front door because of a Religious Organization knocking or ringing doorbell. By the way, each State has facilities, a building or place that provides a particular service, that take care of people like this, they are called a “Mental Institute.”

Gotta tell you my Jehovah's witness story. Two years ago I bought my friend's parents' house. They're Japanese. We just bought the house and I'm mowing the lawn. I'm mowing the front and two Japanese men in suits pull up in my driveway in a car and come out. I think they're either friends or relatives of my friends because they're Japanese and they act like they're visiting. So I tell them I bought the house and that I'm friends with the previous owners. They smile and nod and then... launch into a Jehovah's Witness spiel. ARRRGGGHHH!

I got suckered. And I'm sweating from being outside, cutting the grass. I listen to them for a minute and take their brochure. I say, I gotta go now. I hop on the mower and continue cutting the grass. They FOLLOWED me on foot while I was on the riding mower and I had to wave them away and give them the finger before they would leave... man!

I have a sister in law who is a Jehovah's Witness. Thank goodness she doesn't try to witness to me though. She at least gives us space.

"Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to follow orders from anybody whose power is not from god. Thereby, they won't take orders from eg teachers or superior officers, and thus they are prohibited by their faith to enter military forces. Their refusal to participate in military and national services, as well as their theology which differs a great deal from "official" Christianity, has caused them trouble all over the world. In Canada they were banned in 1940, and in germany, many witnesses were persecuted by the nazis. Despite this, the leaders of the cult were very courteous towards the germans."

I don't know, but I find I've gotta respect a Christian who resists the orders of the state to kill. Seems so, um, refreshingly Christlike...

I am not of that sect of the faith, but I do know that they believe through scripture that it is their job to spread the faith in Jesus. Now I am a Christian, so I too believe that we are supposed to spread the faith. I do have an amount of admiration for someone who can go door to door and sell ANYTHING let alone something so volitle as religion. I do respect what they are doing because God knows I would not have the balls to do it. But as far as your dog eating the invitation, I have GOT to train my dog to do that. What a polite, guilt free way of saying HELL NO.

They wouldn't be so annoying if they would just leave when you tell them you are not interested! But they insist on delivering their message - I think using the materials as dog toys is a good idea - better than just throwing it in the trash which is what I do (if I even answer the door).

If you are really not interested, then you need to tell the next one to put you on their 'Do Not Call' list.

Once you take their literature, they will keep coming back because they think you are interested in learning more.

Ask them for their address and what time would be good to come by and discuss your religion with them. I'm sure you'll get a very interesting reaction. :)

Jehovah Witness don't have a church, it's a Kingdom Hall. But that's wasn't nice, hummm maybe they did get a message and maybe you should watch for your message. When we do something not so nice, something always kicks us in the butt.

There is avery easy and polite way to get rid of them. I have told them No Thank You I belive in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. They do not argue and donot return. We have to remember that they have the right to believe what they want just not the right to push it down anyones throat. I do hope your dog does not get ill from the ink off of the paper.
