It's possible, but I don't know if you could have a sudden spike in the amount to those levels (Mr. Landis is in big trouble)

Exercise boosts your levels of testosterone considerably, hormonal disorders may do something similar, but if its a natural production induced by exercise then yes you can produce quite a bit, but notthing abnormal! It also depends heavily on your genes some people naturally produce quite a bit (and so variations in height, bone structure, hair and depth and resonance of a man's voice. But exercise does boost testosterone levels quite a bit, especially heavy strenuous exercise like lifting big weights - I'm sure running and biking do too.
But the hormone which gives you quick bursts of energy when you are scared or excited and need to either fight or take flight/ quick response is Adrenaline which is produced in mass amounts in a moment of excitement/ fear of losing etc and gives you a lot of energy and a temporary feeling of power. That is most likely what you are thinking of.

The whole Landis thing is a mess. Testosterone doesn't work like a pick me up, so it doesn't make any sense. It might be some new kind of designer cheat... I don't know. Or the lab doped the samples... I just don't know.

The proper word is adrenaline and there are documented examples of people accomplishing heroic acts when highly motivated.
Some people can lift a heavy car off of a child who was in an unfortunate accident, when they couldn't do so under normal circumstances.

It is quite possible for your body to produce unusual amounts of any hormone: adolescents experience this quite a bit, as well as menopausal ladies.
Generally, it is adrenalin that is produced in larger quantities in a potentially life-threatening situation - as your body sees it.

Is this referring to floyd landis?
If so, he had high levels of SYNTHETIC testosterone, a type your body cannot naturally produce.
Also, they measure the ratio of the testosterone to other bodily fluids that increase at the same time.
Hope this helped.

As you grow older your testosterone level slows down. Only bodybuilding drugs will speed it up again, in later years.

No, that would be adrenalin. Your body could produce more testosterone, but i don't think it would be due to such a transcient situation.

Yes, but it wouldn't be synthetic testoserone.
If you were running for your life, you would produce more adrenolin.
