A fortnight is a unit of time equal to two weeks: that is 14 days, or literally 14 nights. The term is common in the British Isles and many Commonwealth countries, but rarely used in the United States. It derives from the Old English "feowertiene niht", meaning "fourteen nights".
Basically, a fortnight is used to say two weeks, or 14 days.

It was and is a wonderful night in the fort.
After a great battle the victor got to export
All the desirable that make good memories.
What was forgotten was their need for accessories.
So the legend started about nights in forts
All that's good and possible to extort
They will be forever the heroes of the day.
What's left is to figure out the pay!
I am still waiting for my fort at night!
Namaste lol
