Yes it is a prophesy. Isaiah was a Prophet. He prophesied some thing that have already come to pass and some things that are yet to come.

Isaiah prophesies of a Messiah who would be a descendant of Jesse. Jesse was the father of King David. This descendant would establish peace. This peace would be so great that even wild animals would be able to lie down next to one another.

Jesus will return in the future to establish a kingdom on earth, a kingdom of justice and righteousness.

Once on the Prophesies, kindly enlarge your canvass to study the prophesies in the Major Faiths of the world. Then the interpretations of the quoted one shall be made crystal clear, and the similarities may be awesome... and the perennial truths, like the universality and the transcendental Unity of Religions shall usher in a new era to your studies in Religion and Spirituality...

Yes. I think the way animals behave now is very much based on instinct and the law of the jungle, but during the Millennial reign of Christ I believe all of those instincts will be tempered. I have heard that even our pets will have more intelligence open to them, and communication will be easier to understand. We'll have to wait another 20 or 30 years or whatever time is left to see what happens.

This is one of two possibilities (1) During the 1000 year reign of Jesus -or- (2) the New Earth after this one is blasted away in fervent heat, sometime after the millennial reign and Satan has had his chance to once again mislead the nations against Israel in a final, once and for all assault - Satan loses.

That is the future of our world. After this system of things is done, things are gonna be so different. Just try to imagine it. Man has made a mess of this world. There is going to be a big clean up. And that's only one of the prophecies. Read the book of Daniel. That is another good one for prophecy and also the book of Revelation.

Isaiah is full of prophecy re. the coming of Jesus. However, he is not talking here about the 2nd coming of Jesus but of Jesus' birth.
