Sunscreen containing either titanium dioxide or zinc oxide (both for UVB protection against burns) and aveobenzone (UVA protection against aging skin, cancer, wrinkles, etc...) is optimum

Oxybenzone is in many sunscreen as well for UVB & UVA protection, but there has been some controversy about it; some think it may cause cancer itself... and its been banned in Europe

Ombrelle is the recommended sunscreen by Canadian dermatologists

*Note: SPF 30 is the highest sun factor protection against UV that is necessary, any higher, the lotions become more greasy
SPF30 + : same UV protection, the only difference is that you will not to reapply as often as just SPF30

then go ahead for spf 15...just make sure you apply it as often as it says...

i heard somewhere that anything over spf 30 or 40 doesn't really do as it says it does...it's just a cover...
but don't go any LOWER than 15...
there's also the banana boat tanning oil, they have a protective product now...it's got purple writing on it. works pretty good.

To protect yourself from skin cancer and premature aging, SPF 30 is the best. I have heard that anything above 30 really does not do any better job.

Try 15, then drop to ten after the tan starts to build up, and then you can drop lower
