I believe in jesus(pbuh) and like and respect him as a prophet not a God.I believe that there is only one God,whom the christians believe is the father...why?....well lets look at it rationally...i know that christians believe in Jesus(pbuh)as a god,and at the same time believe that he was crucified by the jews, well first of all i don't think that a god is supposed to die or get killed and crucified(even if it is part of a grandplan as christians say)...i don't even believe that God need to have a son who must get crucified so that people sins are forgiven...you can confess and ask forgiveness straight forward from God.
I also believe that God IS above all humanity and He is the Absolute One.With all the known standards Jesus(pbuh)was a prophet human(with flesh and blood),he would eat and sleep and do all types of human nature being work....except for the miracles that God granted Him.So if Jesus(pbuh) is god as christians say then they believe that God is not perfect,if they say that he is perfect...how come he is perfect and he died.......?!
Another thing that i believe is shaky in the christian belief is the trinity...God split himself into 3 or God is made of 3!.....well when Jesus(pbuh)was on earth spreading his message God was up!..right?!
I don't mean no offense to christians here but i believe that your whole trinity concept is shaky.....well believe in what you want to believe but this is my point of view so no problem!
Peace..!

This is a controversial subject that not too many people understand and some Christians have a problem grasping this one. God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one yet three at the same time. It's like this: I'll use myself as an example: I am a daughter, a sister and a aunt yet I am one. That is how it works with God.
But the big difference between me and God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is, I am a human and I am limited to what I can do. However God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have no limitations of any kind and can do many things at once in different places at once. They are omnipresent-meaning they can be in one part of the world, another part of the world and be right by your side at the same time. Mere humans don't possess that ability.
Good luck and I hope I was some what helpful to you!

Jesus was a prophet and the Son of the One and Only Living God.., though not God himself.
Jesus is the expressed image, the likeness and absolute representative/intermediary between God and Man.
God dwelt / dwells in him fully - but this does not make him God. Pay attention to what I am about to say....,
Jesus is not God.., but is God by "Proxy". What I mean is this; When a King sent out an Ambassador - this man would represent the King just as surely as if the King himself were present where the Ambassador was - the difference being, he could not exceed the authority given him.
Jesus is that Ambassador, God's own Son, and a prophet.

No. The historical jesus is quite different than the myths that have been attached to him since. He didn't say anything new about enlightenment but just copied Buddha's teachings instead. He didn't succeed as a prophet based on the behavior of those professing to follow him since.

I used to, until I figure out that there are several religious books written, some saying to kill others, such as when the Jewsih people went into the land of Canaan.
I love GOD and consider myself spiritual, but the Jesus story is a part of a book that said to kill people, and I can't agree with that.
Everytime Man makes a religion, it is already imperfect.

Since Jesus said that if we saw him we saw his Father, and combine that with the thought that we are all a part of the whole, then I would have to say that he would need to be considered both.
If you look at your own body as the God of that body, then you see how the body cannot be taken away from itself, but that parts of the body can be removed if they are diseased and the body can still live. Therefore all the parts make up the whole.

Prophet. God said "This is my Son" (spiritual son, not physical son), but He didn't say "This is Me."
Prophet, he fulfilled prophecy and started a new religious dispensation that still lives today.
Prophet, he prayed. To Who? To GOD.
Prophet, he wept. God doesn't weep.
Prophet, he died. God doesn't die.
Prophet, because he said he was sent by God, he never said he God. If he's sent by God, how can he be God? If you send your secretary to do something, how can that secretary be you?
Prophet, because time and time again, Jesus said he saying what his Father wants him to say, not what he himself wants to say.
Prophet, because he was COMPLETELY obedient to God. To Who? To GOD.

God because in the OT (old testament) all the characteristics for God, which only God can be, match the characteristics of Jesus in the NT (New Testament)!

Both. When God the Father Himself says He was His beloved Son, what more proof do you need? He also prophesied many things that were to come and most have already happened just as He predicted.
