If they don't respond it's not the end of the world. They are either shocked, or are just not ready like you are. You don't have to explain why you love them,unless they ask you to. If it was a long relationship then you tell them you love them. If it was a short relationship then you take it little by little. Love can mean different things also. Just take a deep breath, and it's not like someone is going to impail you.

Don't get upset. Sometimes people don't express themselves as easily as others. It could be that she just isn't ready to say it yet. You keep telling her how you feel and let her know that there is no pressure to say it back.
Once she is more sure of her own feelings you will hear what you want to and won't those words be sweet to hear. Just give her time and don't take it personally. Good Luck

There are two ways this could go... Either they love you and you caught them off guard, or you havent been dating long enough for them to establish feelings like that for you yet. Either way, dont freak out... give them some time to think about what you said, theyll say it back to you if they really mean it... and if they dont, nbd, you can find someone better anyway.

.... this is how you should say it. just because you are in love with a person doesnt mean that she has to love you back at that instant. give her time to sort out how she feels also....and maybe in the end, she actually does feel the same. good luck to you.

They probably are not in love with you and don't know how to tell you. You can only decide how you should react. They might not ever feel about you how you feel about them.

I would probably ask them, "Well?" They have to be thinking something and they already left you out to dry. You might as well know why. I mean, if you felt it was appropriate to say, you should know why you didn't get a reciprocal answer. IMHO

your not 'in' love untill the other person says they mutually love you.
you can say I love this person but to say you are 'in' love is to imply that the other person loves you as much as you love them
