Live with it... they're very clean. Apparently, you didn't do your research before getting your cat. That's what cats do. See mine on my keyboard and monitor:

If the clap hand and water squirt things don't work here is one thing that worked for me.
you must think like a cat. Why does the cat want to get on the table and eat people food? 1) he wants attention. (maybe the water wont work) 2) he wants a taste of something you are eating. (could be just curiosity, they are famous for that you know,) and 3) he wants to be up high. They all love this.
What I did to keep Lucy C. Tabby off the kitchen counters and table was to teach her to jump on top of the refrigerator. I put a cat treat up there and when she jumped up to get it I would say "oh so high, such a good jumper". The refrigerator is higher than the counters and you get a treat. much better.
Is there some high place you cat teach the cat to jump to by putting a tiny taste of people food up there? Then praise him to the max. A cat cannot be in two places at once.

It's a step process. I guarantee you, it will work if you do what I tell you. I have three cats, and two visiting kittens, and I have had many, many cats in my life.
First of all you need to get up and swat them off and firmly telling them NO. This will go on for a while, but you have to keep up with it. If you never back up your NO, by physically going over and swatting them, they will learn that what they are doing makes you mad, but you won't do anything about it, so neither will he. And the behavior will continue.
In time step two will come, you will continue to say no, as soon as they jump up, but when you start to get up from your chair or where you are, they will jump down. This tells you that step one has been accomplished, they know what they are doing is wrong, and you don't like it. They also know you will come swat their little butt down.
In time their behavior will completely change, and they just won't bother getting on the table anymore. But keep in mind, that you should not leave any temptations out for them, like leaving the food on the table when you are not eating it yourself. Even the best behaved cat will jump on a table to get himself a half a cup of leftover milk, trust me, mine has done it.

I have two cats and if you want to discipline them then get a squirt bottle and spray them everytime they do it. Cats hate water, ya know. There is also a device that you can buy, maybe at your local pet store, that emits a certain frequency they hate and whenever they get on the table it sends out a high pitch sounds that only the cats can hear. Hope this helps….

Keep a spray bottle filled with water handy at all times. Whenever the cat is doing something wrong, spritz it in the face and say "no." They hate that and quickly learn what is off-limits. After awhile all you have to do is put the water bottle nearby and they will go away from the "bad" spots.

I just walked up and slapped him off few times and he does not get up there anymore.

I used a spray boddle and a watter pistol on him when he thought the birds looked like fun to play with. That works really well. But that slap when you catch him on the table is makes you feel better along with shows him he gets the sh!t slapped out of him if he gets up there. No mess on the walls or water in your food.

Spray the cat with a water bottle in the face when he jumps up there. And use a firm "NO!".

Works for kids too :-D
