I'm trying to loose some weight and in one forum I found that I should 'Power Wlak' every morning for 20 mins as soon as I wake up. I want to ask you, what the hell is power waling? Where I can find more info about that?

Power walking is walking as fast as you can without breaking into a run. Your pulse should be elevated and you should break a sweat. I have been doing this for years and it gives you a great sense of well being and good overall tone. I think 45 minutes to an hour a day walking through your neighborhood, weather permitting, makes it more enjoyable though then on a treadmill in a gym.

Power walking is like Olympic race walking, where you walk at a fast pace, but not run. The difference is that in power walking, you never have both feet off the grouns, whereas in running you are actually airborne for a split second between paces. You might find information on it off a site about the Olympics, or at a local mall, because many malls have walking clubs for seniors who use them for exercise cites. Maybe not the best place to do it since around here (MD) most of the mall power walkers are all seniors (unless you are a senior as well, I don't want you to feel self-conscious).

Power walking is walking at a good rate. Normal walking speed is about 1-1.5 mph Power walking is about 5 mph.

In all honesty, people look ridiculous power walking. Try high impact aerobics at home to some fun dance music.

Power walkign means it shud use some power to walk. DOnt walk with your energy but walk with Power.
Power = Work multiplied by time

power walking is when u walk fast or a slow run ur walking ur just walking fast but while power walking make sure u dont start running

Power Walking is when you walk with more power. Your pace is brisk/fast and your arm movements are exagerrated. Many people power walk with their arms bent.

it's walking really fast and pumping your arms. The dumber you look the better it works.

Try jumping around on those little trampoline things though. They work well. Just jog on them - nice and gentle on the knees and ankles too :)
