Ok I live in a large apartment complex and know alot of ppl here. I am in college and I need time to study and I got tired of the steady stream of ppl in and out of my place. So I put a note on my door that stated:
"I don't care who you are or who you are looking or what your looking for, don't knock I want to be left alone."
Well apreantly no body can read here and they still knock at all hours.
So I bought a mega blast water gun and added a P.S. to my note:
"Knock and you will get soaked...you have been warned!"
Well at 3 AM this morning someone knocked. I didn't say anything, I grabed my water gun opened the door and went rambo.
Now I am being told I am mean. I personly find it funny, and say it's not my fault that they can't read.

I think you've got a great sense of humor dealing with these rude people! You simply did what you said you would if they knocked! They're lucky they didn't get worse! Stick to your guns - nobody got hurt (although the shock of getting wet may have ruined the knockers buzz..) YOU are the victim here - stop feeling bad about it!

I don't really think it's mean. That's the sort of thing I'd do. That's their own friggin fault, as far as I'm concerned. But then, I have few friends, people find me abrasive, and I'm not popular. But I don't mind. That lifestyle suits me.
However, it sounds to me like you're about to move from the popular column to the unpopular column in a hurry. Are you REALLY OK with that?

I dont think you were mean at all. You left a note stating you wanted to be alone and that they would get soaked. The did have fair warning. I dont know why some people dont think those notes we leave dont pertain to them.

No, your not mean-they deserve it. If they don't know what the hell they are reading-then they should ask someone, or at least try to sound it out, because otherwise it's inevitable whats going to happen. I think they deserve it and you are not mean-they just want to talk bullshiit. I mean, if you can't read it, then back away from it, cause it could be fatal. I find it funny too-hAHAHAHA.

You warned them.....................

What more can you do with stupid people?

If you are not willing to back up your rights with action then don't bother even putting signs on the door.

Maybe I'm mean too, but I don't like being woken up at 3:00 AM by total strangers either!

So what if they say you're mean, cuz they will say it like this, "DON'T knock on her door! She's MEAN and she MEANS what she says!"

Depends on what you loaded your super-soaker with. Water's water. What are they afraid of? They'll melt? Battery acid might be a little over the top, though.

Maybe study in the library for awhile so they quit coming over to find you home.
When they do find you home, do you invite them in, thereby giving them a mixed message?
Just politely say, sorry, I'm studying.

Haha, serves the fools right! Then again I'm pretty mean myself... Meh, it's not mean if it's hillarious.

If only there were more people with a sense of humour!
