The topic is not "Believers in Religion and Spirituality" - it is "Religion and Spirituality". Anyone who has an opinion on that subject has a right to express it, wouldn't you agree?
I am a Reincarnationist with an interest in Deism. I am strongly anti-bible.

Well I was raised Catholic by a Catholic father and Protestant mother. I went to Catholic schools k-12th. When I got married (I married an Irish Catholic with strict Catholic parents) we were married by a Catholic priest. However once I had my children I decided to raise them Protestant.
I want them to have a Strong belief in God and good morals but I feel the Catholic religion really jams it down your throat. They use scare tactics (go to hell if you disobey the commandments, etc..) and I always felt sort of suffocated by them.
I am finding the Protestant religion to be a much better fit for me and my family.
Thank you for asking.
What religion are you?

I'm an atheist. And where else can we talk about what people believe? Belief is the determining factor in many of the choices people make, including the choices which affect other people's lives -- for instance, it was the Number One factor in President Bush's decision to invade Iraq.
It's important to talk about these things. I have as much right to be here as anybody.

First of all religion is just a bunch of rules put together by people that you suppose to obey to get to heaven. I am not religious. I just love Jesus and yes I am born again. The church I go to is pentecostal so if I had to say what 'religion' I am I would have to say pentecostal.

I am Christian , I do not believe in organized religion per say . Organized religion and their closed minded perception of what god and Christ meant to say or the way they intrepid the Bible are responsible for most wrongs in the world today as well most wars in history were fought because of organized religion . I simply believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ and his love for all man kind . I put into practice what he has taught me and the love I have for God and My fellow man .

I have no religion being an atheist. I have always found the subject interesting though on a sociological level and it is an open board for anyone to post on; it is not specific to one belief system only.

I totally agree with Tarheelboi! Thank God there are others like me! I love God and Jesus is my personal savior. I pray everyday. I love the Lord with all my heart. But, I am sick of the shamed based rules that are in place in almost every church, no matter what denomination you try.

traditional navajo here---spirituality and faith---we, (i) was taught to respect all forms of religion and spirituality, whether i agree with it or not, but still have respect, even if that means killing a follower of another religion, spirituality i.e.(muslims, hezbollah, shiites)etc.with sheer brutality and without remorse, yet still have respect even if they're unworthy of dying a respectable death...

Because no two people can possibly have the same concept of a god figure - then we all have our own unique religion.
