Now that we know how to process pork so that it is safe to eat, it is no longer necessary to refrain from eating it.

If it is an exclusive business which deals with only pork, then I think it would be better to avoid. Because since you know pork is haraam, it means it is somehow bad to those consuming it. So as prophet taught "Religion means well wishing (of others)", so dealing with this business is definitely not well wishing, even if the customer is buying it by choice.

If it is a Job which involves lot of other business also, then also it would be better to avoid but that depends on how easy you could get another job.

Anyway, I don't say it is halaal or haraam, since I am not a scholar, and telling something halaal or haraam without being sure is like inventing lie against Allah
"And, for what your tongues describe, do not utter the lie, (saying) This is lawful and this is unlawful, in order to forge a lie against Allah; surely those who forge the lie against Allah shall not prosper. " Quran 16:116.

The spirit behind the prohibition on eating pork is that it is unhealthy, can cause problems and that pigs do eat their own faeces at times. To work in a place that sells and cooks pork, do your job sincerely, allow others the freedom to do something that doesnt hurt others, and accept a pay at the end of hard day's work is perfectly fine. I don't think it's haram at all.

it's haram, but don't ever brag or tell anyone around that you are muslim and been doing some wrongs, it lessens the gravity. Only Allah knows what is in your heart since this is like a matter of life and death, although not totally. Consider looking for another job to have a secure source of income.

I think if it bothers your conscience then yes. Perhaps you should talk to your imam about it. If it was haram, then one possibly could not work in a restaurant, corner store, so many places, because there likely will be something in some product that may not be halal (e.g. restaurant that is pork free but the animals not properly slaughtered or a corner store cause they have beer in cans).

God always puts people into situations and tests him / her how would they react. Do they love him enough or do they subject to the worldly needs. I will not tell you what to do... I'll share with you my story. Its been 4 years now with a job which pays decent enough that could make me live comfortably. I'm an IT Admin and have to think twice before buying anything. I've had offers from Banks that could take care of all my expenses and that too make me lavish at that and I have refused them because I know that this life is only 80 years and the after life is eternal.

Now its up to you to make the choice.

There is a difference in the schools of thought as far as i know. I remember it as, according to the Hanafi school of thought; if you are living in a non-muslim country, you can sell pork and stuff.

DO NOT TAKE MY WORD ON THIS, PLEASE INVESTIGATE THROUGH PROPER SOURCES.

I would like to warn you people that saying haram to something that is halal and saying halal to something that is haram CAN PUT YOU OUT OF THE CIRCLE OF ISLAM(!!!!!), so do not mindlessly say haram/halal to everything.

I have doubts that there is muslim who will work in a place where pork is sold and cooked. It is forbidden.
Some really true muslim beleivers refuse to work in restaurants ( alchogol) and bank ( percent interest).
But exceptions can be everywhere..

You should ask the question to a scholar and not some people who you cannot even know, in this virtual world of the internet. Please forward your question to an aalim or a mufti.
No one will ever post a question here if his/her stomach hurts, the person is sure to ask a doctor.
