I have a wonderful Spotted Mongrel Cur, probably a mix of something with a Brittany, a terrier with a flushing dog. Very attentive, energetic, friendly and exceptionally loyal. He's has iridescent white fur with adorable scatterrings of black & brown patches & spots everywhere; even one pair of eyelashes is black and the other pair are white.
I like the mixed breeds because they are hardy & avoid many of the breed related traits that have been bred into the pure breeds by over-breeding (unless dealing with a professional & dilligent breeder). There are so many fabulous dogs essentially for the asking at shelters & rescue organizations (like mine was!)---go get 'em!

My very favorite breed in the Chow, I had 2 a male and a female the both passed away at the age of 13, they are very protective, but not good around children at all. I now have 3 granddaughters so I have a black Lab. I love him and he is great with the kids. The are not a guard dog at all, nor are they much of a watch dog. They are just lovable and they like everyone. They love to go for walks and rides in the car. Kozmo is my dogs name and he likes to go for a ride in the car more than life itself. Great companion dog.

my absolute fave breed of dog is the Shar Pei... I just love those wrinkle dogs!! they are soooo cute!!! But I've never had the joy of owning one. I hear they are quite a pain to have though, especially in warm climates, due to all their wrinkles, they get massive skin infections. Poor babies!
But I have been the owner of a chiauaua poodle, a dachshund, and a Cockerspaniel - not all at the same time though, and I have raised them since they were puppies till the days that they died from old age.

Mutts from the pound. They really need good homes. Mixed breeds have way less health problems and they are much easier to train.

I love German Shepherds, they are loyal and great, I love Jack Russels because I am getting a new Jack Russel pup, I always loved dalmatians because I loved the movie, Beagle are cute too.

my favorite dogs are German Sheppards they are great and beautiful dogs.They are very intelligent and learn all sorts of things real fast and they love to learn from you and work for you. They are very attentive, obedient and brave and extremely loyal and friendly and they are very sweet with children. I also like Hovawarts. they are also great and beautiful dogs and very intelligent, friendly and loyal.
