I have a sore on the inside of my bottom lip in front of my teeth. It only hurts occasionally, so I know it's not a canker sore since those hurt like the dickens. It's just obnoxious. I think it's infected, because it fills up with something, and becomes a round, hard ball until it breaks open. It will drain for a couple of days, and then fill up again. It repeats this cycle over and over again, and I've had it for more than two weeks. It's disgusting, and I'm not sure of how to get rid of it. Does anyone know?

Maybe a boil? You should call your dentist because sores of the mouth (like canker sores) should not last that long.

Try Warm Salt Water, attempt to Hold it at the Side wherein the Sore is, you Can do that as Often as it's Comfortable for you, don't Swish it round, as this might Irritate the Area, and Stretch the Cheeks, if this doesn't Help you in 24hrs. you Should have it Seen By a Doctor. Another Step is, when you Have a Dentist, Call and Get More Info.

you should definitely go to a doctor, it really may be infected and if those bacteria hit your bloodstream you could get something more serious, like even meningitis! besides, chronic wounds increase the chance of having cancer, so you'd better watch that thing close enough!

This is a cyst of the salivary gland in your lip, and a simple excision is indicated. Complete removal of the cyst.
