Because there are many religions and they all think that they have the true religion.
So...... do you believe yours is the true one, or can you still be flexible enough to see that you might be wrong?

My religion is flawed as is all religion.

You have religions that think blowing themselves up and taking as many people with them will get them to a paradise with 70 virgins, then my religion that states the End Times are near and if I don't take Jesus into my heart I'll be going to Hell.

I could go on and on, but the only true Religion is the one in people's hearts who follow the Golden Rule - that is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

You will be a better person and the world will at last have peace if we were all to follow this.

Please everyone - follow the Golden Rule Religion.

Have a good day!

Think with me. If there were many truths, what would be truth then? There is only one Truth, and even history can prove it. What is not true, is false, otherwise there would be no false things, if anyone could have their own point of view about what is truth. Every single person knows, deep inside, what is Truth, and out of it come all the good things. For example: even a criminal, who was raised watching crimes, and who is sentenced to death knows he is wrong. Who taught it to him?

If I am excused, I would like to suggest that your question is somewhat twisty-turvy. Actually every established religion on this earth is good and holds truth in itself and what's the truth IT IS BUT GOD. And the religion is just a stepping stone towards the greater heights.

Even being flexible and considering others I have stuck with mine. Through God's own revelation I have found the True unchanged faith of the Catholic Church to be the One fullnees of the faith--that does not make me intollorent or judgemental of others--it just makes me happy to know that I have everything that Jesus came down to Earth to give us. He started the Catholic Church through Peter and the apostles. It's teachings and practices have remained unchanged throughout history.

First you need to separate religion from the Church(or Organization). Then you need to research other religions. You will find similarities between all religions. In these similarities you will find the truth.

I don't automatically assume that anything is true unless it's backed up by scientific evidence. Religion is based on faith, not science or reason, and that's the reason why I avoid it like the plague!

Why do you suppose it is considered a sin to study the scriptures of other faiths by many religions. Flexability is not exactly what this idea is about.
