Assuming, of course, I am a Christian does this mean that I will not go to hell?

Is that a crock or what??? By the way, you have to mean it. Planning to sin your whole life and then saying "sorry" won't cut it... What do you think of mass murdurers who say "sorry, I've repented" afterwards? Does that clean their slate???

I gather that you are not a christian. A christian wants to be Christ like and not sin as much as he/she can. To be a christian you must have repented already.

If repentence and asking for forgiveness in the last minute were an option, how will you when "the last minute" arrives? You could be killed by a terrorist bombing, a plain could crash into you whilst sitting at your work desk - too late, no warning.

I am not making light of 9/11. I am just making the point that many died in an instant with no chance of repentance.

The word of God tell us that NOW is the time, not just before we die. Repent NOW!

If you're planning ahead, then you must already know the answer to your question. If you love the Lord, then you would not want to deliberately plan a life of "extra sinning". Only God can judge someone's heart, though, and if you were truly sorry for your sins, yes, God could forgive you. You cannot, however, trick God into thinking that you're sorry if you are not. The only way to Heaven - and not hell - is to believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins, and that He rose again. There is nothing that you, yourself, can do to "avoid hell" and go to heaven. It's either or, my friend. If you don't believe it now, you will some day. Guaranteed. Hope it's not too late. (no, I am not a "religious nut" nor am I a pastor. I'm a regular Christian, and I hope you are, too.)

Hell is complete separation from God. There are different degrees of hell. If you live a life of sin, then you are further and further away from God.

God's forgiveness isn't a toy. If it's a person's plan to play now, repent later, then how sincere could the repentance be?

Repentance has to be sincere to be forgiven. To intentionally sin up until your life's final moment, without sincere regret for what you've done would not be considered by most to be a ticket into Heaven.

I may not be a Christian, or even believe in Heaven, but I do believe in sincerely regretting things we do that harm others in our lives, and making ammends and apologies for such actions.

No. Repentance is not something you can play with. God gave us chances to wipe our hearts clean. If you do like what your question said, even with a confession, you shall never go to heaven.

Yes. According to classic Christianity the religious act of believing in Jesus as savior GOd repenting of your sins and being baptized will save you. Baptism is interpreted as believing the water is symbolic of the holy spirit entering.

The religious act of Adam and Eve for their sin was a fig leave. Unnacceptable to GOd he gave them animal skins . . innocent blood had to be shed . . God's way to salvation for them.

Cain was a farmer Abel a shepard. Cain's sacrafice to God was wheat his works, and abel a sheep, innocent blood, God approved abel's sacrafice and not cain's. Innocent blood had to be shed.
Cain killed abel he was jealous.

So the classic christian believe is the religious act of you or me believing in Jesus as savior and that his innocent blood was shed for atonement of sins through death and resurrection on the cross means on the day of our judgement when satan stands accusing us for all sins we will be judged as guilty and granted pardon for the wages of sin is death and this will have been paid by Jesus the Christ.

Those without the savior to protect them are subject to what is taught in revelation 20:11-13, that they will be judged on their works and sent to the lake of fire.

Of course in revelation 20:8 it says the Earth has four corners, so theres symbolism in this cause its obviously talking about a map, so in my reading of the Bible I realize I can't take everything at face value,

so can I take 20:11-13 at face value?

Can I take Leviticus 18.22 at face value when it says gay sex is abomination for in leviticus 11:9-12 it states eating shrimp an abomination.

Clearly the Bible has some good and bad but, well, I have hope in the love of Jesus, but faith in the word for word of the Bible, I can't do it.

since you do not know when death will come your way, you cant afford to risk sinning. the Bible says "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus." another verse says " shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" and yet another says "all sinners shall have their part in hell, where there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". so my friend, you see that the risk (and punishments) of dying in sin is so great that you cant afford to sin

Yes. It's one of the fundamental flaws in christianity. Also, we should kill ALL children immediately, that'll guarantee their entrance into heaven.

Then we should ask for forgiveness. Guaranteeing our entrance. Then we'll ALL be in heaven for ETERNITY!!!!

Ah, isn't religeon beautiful in its simplicity?
