Mainstream Muslims, Jews and Christians seem to be united on one issue above all: Homosexuals are evil. I'm aware their holy books all condemn such practices, but is God offended? After all, He created the world in all its diversity, including an amazing range of sexual behaviours amongst the plant, insect & animal kingdoms. He also creates a large number of humans with born sexual preference for others of the same gender. If we accept there is a difference between homosexuality (i.e. people are born that way) and perversions (distortions created by reactions to abuse or other life events) - and I'm sure some of you won't, but anyway - then homosexuals are part of his creation (unless Satan was somehow in on the conception). Is God really so small-minded about these matters... or is the creator of the entire universe and everything in, well, bigger than that?

HOMOSEXUALS are not evil! To clarify what you think you know--we Christians are taught to love all people even sinners and our enemies! The sin of homosexuality is contrary to God's law. In all His diverse creation is there a male-male or female-female sexual union that creates life? I disagree that God creates anyone with sexual tendancies--these are temptations of the devil. Read God's own teching on the subject of sex--The Theology of the Body is a great place to start and there is a version For Beginners by Christopher West.

I have to believe the Bible, and the Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination to the Lord. The Bible says that a man shall not lay with a man the way he does with a woman, if he does, than both will surely die(spiritual death, separation from God). I believe that God says what He means, and means what He says. By the way, the Greek word used in the Bible for fornication(which is what homosexuality is) is the word PORNEO, from which we get the word pornography.

You may call God's attitude towards homosexuality as being small minded, but my God is a Holy God, who doesn't tolerate sin.

Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't destroyed just because of homosexuality, but because of the pervasiveness, and because of the general acceptance of this lifestyle by the community.

Being gay is not a choice, it is a sin.

Many Jews accept homosexuality, down to interpreting the "abomination" verses as a matter of societal morality rather than Godly morality:

Although the sin of Sodom and Gemmorah is apparently homosexuality, later Jewish tradition, including the Biblical prophets, makes no reference to homosexuality and see the sins of Sodom and Gemmorah as cruelty and lack of hospitality to the "stranger" - xenophobia, as it were.

Reform Judaism seems to view the traditional prohibitions against homosexuality as mores from a bygone age, mores now replaced with clearer understandings of the reality of gender orientation as something which is, as it seems to me, beyond simple individual "preference."

Many, if not most, Reform Jews seem to be willing to make no great distinction between homosexual and heterosexual relationships. As a whole, the Reform Movement, both the "lay people" and the rabbis have come out very strongly in favor of civil rights for gays and lesbians.>

Just like Paul wrote about the Romans: Homosexuals know the truth, "for God hath shewn it to them". They know the truth because society at large has proven that they prefer male-female,and thus natural, relationships. We know that God made a WOman for Adam, and not a man for him to continue human existence and family on earth with.
Homosexuals refuse to live by the truth, and as such, God will give them over to a reprobate (sick) mind, just as he did the Romans. God is not going to force anyone to come out of sin - he will set things up to make it obvious, to give you the opportunity to decide, but He won't force you to go to Him. He sets the truth out before you, and allows you to make your choice. If you choose sin, it is your death.

If homosexuality became OK, then how would the mankind continue? Without our heterosexual ancestors, we wouldn't be even here! You can't deny that if your parents weren't heterosexuals, you would have never been born. We, HETEROSEXUALS, are the reason why the mankind is still on earth. Imagine if we all were "born" like that, the world will end soon! You can't deny it! Besides, homosexuality causes many STDs, especially AIDS, which is un-curable.

A certain population of every kind of animal is gay. This is also coming from the same types of people that thought blacks and white shouldn't marry and women have no rights in the church. Yes folks, in this century. Check out this short video clip I found about what straight people think about gay people.

Christians are in many cases small-minded and they naturally attribute the same qualities to the God that they invented.

well the bible is God's word. And it says there that homosexual behavior is an abomination. So I think we can conclude He is offended. But you could try to twist things around until you say it your way.
