You should examine your life. Jesus said if you love Him, you will keep His commandments. Chances are if you are considering this, you are not doing other things that you should be doing. (reading your Bible, praying) Neglecting these things are sins of omission. When you look at the big picture, it's not just one little sin. A whole bunch of sins get us to a place like fornication.
Walking blatantly into sin is no little matter. If you have already done this, and you are sorry, Jesus will forgive you. All is not lost. You can reclaim your sexual integrity and do what is right. The longer you live in a lifestyle that you know is wrong, the more you will regret it.

Sex before marriage is only wrong if you're doin it just to get a nut off and you don't care about the person you did it with. If you, at least, want, at the time, him/her as a gf/bf, then it only ranks a 3 out of 10 on the Sin-O-Meter.

God is the only one who can answer that, him being the final arbiter and all. But if it comforts you He doesn't look at how many particular mortal sins you committed, he looks at how good you have lived your life and how you've been good to others.
