Its only a small light Berban Skink so a hamster ball is no good, as its not heavy enought to tip it over and also there isnt enough grip for it to crawl forward, any suggestions?

It loves running around the house but I worry that I will loose him as Ive had a few close shaves Ive built its tank on two levels and it runs and jumps all over but its cooped up all the time and thought this would be a safe way for it to venture round without getting hurt or lost.

By putting the lizard in a ball to run will probably stress him out. Continual use may result to death from stress. If you do not have a room to let him free roam while you watch him, then i would just leave him in his enclosure. Lizards are not hamsters.

personally i wouldn't put them in a running ball.its possible for them to get their nails caught or their tails.also most lizards need to be kept at a certain temp maybe running around on the floor would bring their body temp down

I can't remember the last time I saw a lizard doing any real physical exercise.
Are you sure you don't want it for entertainment.
