RAR files are compression files and cannot be played. You will need an application like winrar or 7zip to be able to open it and decompress the files.
I guess that you have come across a **video** file by the sound of your question. Bear in mind that the video is most probably divided into several small bits and compressed in RAR files.
You will need ALL the files in the series to be able to get the original video file intact AND you will also need a password.

.rar files cannot be played like Audio files. They are compressed files like .zip.
You need Winrar to extract the file.
You can download Winrar from "www.winrar.com"

There's a software called WinRar which plays .rar files.

Here you can download the software thru which u can play rar files.
