3rd generation Italian/American, never traveled to Italy but hope to visit relatives living in Naples someday. I've included a link to a family photo, my dad is seated in the middle. I would say what survives in our household is a strong sense of family and an attempt to keep my grandmotherscuisine alive. My father was active in several Italian/American service organizations to help foster a better understanding of the contributions made by Italian immigrants as opposed to the Hollyweird idea that all Italian brought to America was Mafia.

Italy: a place of romance where tourism should focus on making it a place where people can really fall inlove rather than focus on the culture and history.
Italians: genius of pasta and food. Nice people who love so much and would do anything for their family (the virginity being kept til marriage is the greatest).

I really have not been around or even know any Italians. But television and movies do not paint pretty picture of Italians. Italy is lovely and you have good looking men.

Italians are nice, but some aren't and i also heard about how the government works towards black born italians.
The history is unique and the language is lovely

I work with a lot of italian people and they are some of the hardest workers I known. They seem to be very family oriented as well.

i think italian people are really gr8 id love to go and visit italy 1 day. there is so much to see there like the collesium in rome.

They don't seem very nice. Just how I view them personally, though. They do have good food (not pasta and stuff), good wines and a beautiful country with loads of great landscapes and interesting, well preserved monuments.
