Doesn't this contribute to the madness in the Middle East? Doesn't this go against religion? Didn't Jesus say "nobody knows the day or the hour" for the end of time? Are these people who want to bring about the rapture simply out of their minds? Are they the most dangerous people on Earth? What is the difference between them and suicide bombers?

It is a madness, and also loving the fact that Jesus was crucified is sadistic. God forgave us for that, but he didn't thank us. People with this attitude have no compassion. They simply repeat what they heard, and expect approval. It is not forthcoming, and anyone who predicts the day or the time should be ignored (at best), and avoided (preferred).

No. I am an evangelical Christian and I do not look "forward" to the end of the world.
But we do not look at the rapture and tribulation as the world getting what it deserves either- we look at the end times as righting the world that is so out of control.
When people say doomsday prophecies, I think- it is not doomsday for us.
And the difference would be, we don't strap bombs to ourselves- waiting for Jesus to return - is not wishing nor doing the killing.

'End of the world' doesn't mean its complete destruction, but it means complete annihilation of worldly ambitions, of earthly evils. How there can be complete destruction of the earth while God promised to establish His Kingdom here? Please reread the Holy Scriptures, especially the Bible and the Kiatb-i-Iqan of Baha'u'llah and make judgement for yourself.
The problem of the world society today is that many people are still having prejudices about the name of religion and superstitions about the name of science, so they become more and more pessimistic with brutal wars occuring here and there all over the world.
At the end, when the Kingdom of God is established, each man will know Who is God and will take the responsibility for his own choice: to believe and repent or to keep on criticizing blindly.
The loving God is giving the chance for all human beings to read any Holy Scriptures on the Gutenberg Project now.

A Christian who practices biblical Christianity is not violent and is not out to destroy those who believe differently than themselves. But, the Bible does teach that it is ok to look forward to the end of the world. Look at what Paul wrote in I Thessalonians 4:13-18.

My friends, we want you to understand how it will be for those followers who have already died. Then you won't grieve over them and be like people who don't have any hope. We believe that Jesus died and was raised to life. We also believe that when God brings Jesus back again, he will bring with him all who had faith in Jesus before they died. Our Lord Jesus told us that when he comes, we won't go up to meet him ahead of his followers who have already died. With a loud command and with the shout of the chief angel and a blast of God's trumpet, the Lord will return from heaven. Then those who had faith in Christ before they died will be raised to life. Next, all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will all be with the Lord forever. Encourage each other with these words.

You see, the end of the world is a comfort to the Christian because he will then see the other Christians who have already died. Yes, in Christian doctrine it is also a sad time because those who refused Jesus will die and spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Hell). But, the Bible teaches that God will wipe away those tears. He will cause us to remember those people no more. I don't understand how this will occur. Possibly, we will be so caught up in worshipping the God who saved us, that nothing else will matter.

Good that you believe in the END OF THE WORLD. No one knows when the hour will come. Only GOD knows. So it is better to get prepared now rather than to be sorry later. Take it as a reminder from these people the hour is fast approaching and you have prepared yourself to face it.

Evangelical Xtians who send money to support Israel's military are just as satanic as fundamentalist Muslims who send money to support Hamas and Hezbollah. Those people who believe in the end of the world do things that will bring on its end such as funding wars, supporting wars, instigating wars, fighting wars. They are DANGEROUS!
