One of my friends is in the same boat (actually, each of us got married shortly after high school and niether marriage lasted long). He suggests that I tell girls up front, but I think that's a bit abrupt. What do you think? How long into a relationship should that be made known?

hm i see your dilema. But it's not really a taboo anymore and so by saying it at the very beginning makes it seem as if it's this massive big deal. Play it by ear depending on the guy your dating and see when is a good time to bring it up. Probably when and if you have the "relationships" talk. First dates are usually fun and carefree and talking about your divorce might bring down the tone and make it abit heavy.

Like i said, see when is appropriate in the conversations and take it from there :)

A relationship should always begin with honesty. It should always stay honest. Divorce is not as critical as many years ago. She may have been married before too. Why not be honest now and forever?

It's always best to tell about your previous marriage up front. This way, you can avoid potential heartache later on.

As long as you're not married now, why would it even be important?

It wouldn't matter to me.
