I am not sure if i have to advise the other company of me making a claim as they are with different insurers, but i dont want not to mention it and then find out that my insurance is void by not telling them. Is there anybody that knows ???

The reason that i am insured on two cars is that one car is my personal car and the other is my fathers which he has got under motability dor being disabled he is not allowed to be insured on the car so i was insured on it , car was stolen and recovered with damage so i have to make a claim on it as he is not insured. When you get a car from motability they insure you fully comp before you can take the car of the forecourt. which is why they are different insurers.

Most insurers expect you to have all of your vehicles insured under the same policy with their company. If they knew that you had a separate policy for your other car they will be a bit suspicious to begin with and raise your rates just on general principle.

If anything could be wrong with this situation, it could be that your policy would be void by having a separate insurer. You are better off not telling the other company anything if you have to file a claim. They have no way of finding out (unless you recieve a citation in the accident) and I am sure that they have no reason to ask.

And if they were to know that you had another car, I would just tell them that its not insured with their company because it is sitting in your garage on blocks.
