Good! I agree. Willful sin creates a "reprobate mind," which gives us ignorant clearance to be comfortable in sin. All sin is death. Death of SOMETHING and if not repented of, death of everything. "You got it! You got it! You got it!" (does a little hippy cheer dance)

The Bible doesn't depict sin as a learned human trait. We are born into it. We are born sinners because of Adams sin.
Our soul is what searches for something more. We are born separated from God because of our sin. Because I have the Holy Spirit living inside me, I have the power to not sin. I suppose you could say it's like "medicine" against sin. It's up to me if I want to "use my medicine" to not sin. The Holy Spirit is what helps me to understand my Bible and to get closer to God. Because I love God, I try to please him by not sinning. I will say that the times that I DON"T sin when I really want to, it's only because of my deep love of God, I ask Him (in the form of the Holy Spirit) to help me.
I can get my "spiritual treatment" and then sin right after. It's the weak, "human" (sinner) part of me. (people use the word hypocrit when a person sins sometimes)
I don't believe that the person's "conscience" or (immune system) grows weaker & weaker, I think they will use other things to "numb" their conscience so they don't have to pay attention to it. For example, drugs....when you're high, you can ignore your conscience more. When you're enjoying your binge food, you can be distracted from other sin. When your looking for sex or gambling, your are enjoying your "sin" and are able to ignore you "conscience" for a while.
Put that person alone in the wilderness without their drugs, music, tv, computer, phone & other distraction, and I bet their conscience will show up strong & healthy.

Good question but GREAT ANALOGY! I believe that when a person refuses to receive a rebuke or a reproof from God then he/she may be in trouble mentally. The spirit does grow weaker if the person persists in the sinful lifestyle and refuses to be corrected. What a great analogy though. Leprosy --- ugly, eating away at the inside and the outside---the stinch---the ugliness---but there is no pain---because the mind is numb. I am going to write that analogy down. You go girl.

I think you're completely wrong from the word go. The Bible depicts sin as an INHERENT human trait, not a learned one.

If "sin" is learned behavior, I'm sure glad I became an atheist. I often wondered why I felt so much better and actually became a much better person after I stopped attending church.
You just explained it. I got away from all those sinners and their evil influence.
Apparently, we need to eliminate churches since they attract sinners and that causes them to learn from each other.

I don't agree with any of it. If that is absolute truth, which I do not believe it is, then I should be dead right now, because I "refuse spiritual treatment" and have all my life. According to you, my immune system should have deteriorated, but yet, I'm still alive, and still kicking, and perfectly happy with my life the way it is.

It sounds revolting and stupid, I don't believe in the bible or in God or in sin as such...evil people will always do evil things but it takes religion to make good people to evil things.
