Of course I do, I am one. What I really hate is when people all hate us just because we do hand out tickets every once in a while. We aren't bad people but for some reason too many people out there view us in that way. I work with some of the best friends I've ever had.

Like? Yeah, sure. I mean, I don't know them, but I appreciate the tough job they have and I have tremendous respect for them and their job.

I'm a teacher, and I regularly (and patiently) have to deal with kids who have anger management issues. Cops have to do that, too, only with dangerous, heartless, gun-toting adults AND teens. My job exhausts me at the worst. A cop's job can be fatal. Yet they CHOOSE to go into that field.

They get nothing but respect from me. I wouldn't know about "bad" cops. I see cops in their cars and at accident scenes and around town, but I have not had enough "up close" dealings with them to determine if any particular ones are bad.

Yeah, I've been ticketed by surly cops. But doesn't everyone get surly once in a while? It's not enough to paint all of them with one brush. And, while I may think a cop is being surly while issuing a ticket, I have to remember, I'm the one who broke the law. And the consequences of breaking the speed limit laws are this: you get an expensive ticket, and it might get issued by a cop who's having a bad day.

I know for a fact that when I'm having a bad day, it's just best not to be around me. Until I get over it.

Most COPS are normal people...until they go to the academy and are taught ways to violate the constitutional rights of citizens and to lie under oath. A few survive and adhere to constitutional mandates. Others go forward to become terrorists in blue. Simply because a person is a cop does not mean that the quest for power and control over others and financial gain abate. The City of Hollywood, Florida, police department, according to Human Rights International, has the third worst reputation for police brutallity in the nation. Hollywood PD is corrupt from the top to the bottom, altering evidence and conspiring to falsely convict in an effort to avoid civil liability. I have absolutely no regard for any police officer in Hollywood, because of the corruption, pandemic within that community. On the other hand, I have very close friends who served with honor and dignity with the Broward County Sheriff's Office. Of course, under the corrupt administration of former Sheriff Nick Navarro (Star of the COPS Show), they were fired, and Navarro was caught selling confiscated property out the backdoor of a baker hut at Port Everglades. He was also caught with a half-empty bag of cocaine, an unregistered 9mm handgun and $100,000.00 in his personal safe, for which Navarro claimed, he did not have the combination.

I love good cops; I hate bad cops.

For the most part.
I came from a small town and the cops there were terrible. They must have been bored so they harrassed all the young kids.
I live in a big city now and the cops are much better. They have better things to do and are more helpful.

yes like normal people there are good cops and bad cops. I have good friends that are cops but I still hate some of them because of their attitude and the way they treat people.

You mean the donut patrol. I personally don't like the donut patrol because they think they are so much better than everyone else. They are not perfect people, but they sure act like it.They gave me a ticket like i was the devil himself, when I'm sure they have never brOKe a traffic law, cops speed more than anyone else but it's ok because they are cops.

I have had many very bad experiences with cops in the USA. In Europe they are very professional and fair. In England they are great!

Why would it matter in YOUR life whether I like, or dis-like them?

Can't you make a choice on your own?

Do you need to know my thoughts before you can make up your mind?

Is this a trick question? Are you actually seeking to gain a perspective of whether we have issues with "authority'? Do you have issues with "authority"?

by virtue of the badge? Not necessarily. But as people behind the badge...usually. Depends on the person. Someone with an attitude - badge or no - I don't care to be around. But everyone has bad days too.
