That's a very interesting question! And I wish we could give points to a person who asked a great question!
It's true that opposites do attract, don't they?
I know that I married a man who is also a Christian, but he and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, spiritually. And it does create some conflicts for us. However, the opposite is also true. I've learned that one of the biggest blessings can be being married to a person who has an opposite viewpoint on things. Because seeing things through a different viewpoint allows you to have a better understanding of the big picture. It also allows you to reconsider certain issues. And it also allows you to look at a situation and understand WHY you believe a certain way.

2 Corinthians 6:14 tells Christians NOT to marry unbelievers. If you are marrying someone, you are becoming "ONE" in all things, in other words, "YOKED" to that person. Where the other turns, so will you. If the other looks down, that YOKE takes you with it and him/her. If the yoke gets connected to something that takes off at breakneck speed, you're gonna be running with it, too! If it gets chained or hitched to something and you want to go for an independent stroll, no, indeed, you guessed it: you cannot. So, the answer to your question is a very strong "No," and also I would add that there will be great conflict marrying one WITHOUT religion even opposed to marrying someone whose beliefs differ from yours. I know couples who married believing different things. One divorced and in two of the families, the husband (one nonbeliever, one Muslim) has accepted Christ and become Christian. Peace.

there is a difference with being a christian and being born a christian.
God fearing christians believe that marrying an unbeliever would tell on their own spiritual life and this implies that they tend to move more in the direction of that person's beliefs.
marriage is first and foremost about love and understanding... if you have the belive that all this is present then you might deside that religion is a least favorable criteria for marriage.
some christian marry others based on love

Christians wisely tend to marry other Christians. There is a Bible verse concerning this. "Do not be unequally yoked" or something to this effect. However I hear Christians have a higher divorce rate than non Christians.

No we tend to marry someone with the same religious beliefs as it makes raising families easier.I married a Methodist and now he is Catholic as well. I honestly could never have had children with a non Christian as it would be difficult living and raising children together but to each their own.
