I am looking to replace my existing Tannoy speakers with a wireless set up to avoid running wires over a wooden floor that we have just put down. I would like to use my existing amp.

I have seen a couple of lost cost wireless PC speakers but nothing for a home theatre system running of a Yamaha amp (5:1 with sub woofer).

Anyone aware of products that might suit?

Thanks

Maybe one day, but what you have found for wireless speakers is about as good as it gets right now.

I would recommend keeping your Tannoy's and getting some more discreet cabling, and a long enough run that you can run in along the baseboards of your floor.

Or, you could hire a professional to install cabling in your walls with gold plated speaker terminals (like AC wall outlets) where your speakers will be placed.

That's pretty much it for right now.

The bottom line is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, beats a wire. Just run some wires in the wire or have a cabling guy do it for you. You get less with wireless, hense the word less!

philips do some.... dont know how good wireless would really be.. though.. subject to interferance maybe? perhaps you could have put some flat wires down under the flooring to allow for better speakers in the future.....

like the other says the best thing would be wired spearkers anything wireless that is any good would cost a lot.might think about going thru the wall and up thru the attic.
