Why is it that for the last 2 weeks I've been up till 5 in the morning and if I do fall asleep early, then I wake up at like 4a.m. and can't fall back asleep? Is there any effective ways of getting to sleep and staying asleep?

I have literally nothing on my mind, I don't work, school doesn't start for 2-1/2 weeks, I'm currently single(not thinking about a girl). And don't call me a goddam crackhead, I hate drug addicts.

Take some sleeping pills. Go to your local pharmacy and ask. Also, you may want to see your doctor.

Hey, hey. I'm the same way. It's 6:00 in the morning right now. Haven't slept yet. Maybe you have a lot on your mind. I'd try sleeping pills if you find that nothing else works. I think there are some out there that aren't addictive. Ask your doctor or something. I always find that taking a nice, hot shower before bed helps. Er, no cold showers, though. You use those when you want to WAKE UP.

Look it not a sleep disorder or anything ...u need not take pills or visite the doctor, probably you havnt been doing enough to burn up ur energy. try taking up a sport or excersing, set a time to wake up and to sleep. keep to timings, dont eat just before dinner etc.
this will bring u to rythum .....u r in fact a victim of irr regurality.
get back to what u used to do when school was open ....
yoll be fine

i have a sleeping issue as well, try some sleeping remedies, like pills but do not rely on them because taking to much of a pill is dangerous or even drink warm milk with a bit of cinnamon in it, or trying regulating your sleeping habits since school is coming up for you. the lack of sleep can also be linked to stress, try and relax
