Da, i went to Belgrade last year, nice place, but not many people spoke English, although some younger people did.
I did learn some Serbian, its very useful because its simillar to croatian and Bosnian, 3 languages for the price of one.

Lep je ovaj nas jezik, samo je malo tezak...
Za prijemni za fakultet spremala sam srpski i engleski i cini mi se da mi je bilo lakse da spremim engleski :-)
Anyway, I read somewhere that J. R. R.Tolkien once tried to learn Serbian, but didn't make it.

i've never heard anything in serbian ....
if it was some what easy like japanese, maybe or if i was visiting serbia then sure, maybe a little

somewhere i read that serbian are originally from India. however i do not know that language.
