Like i was saying, I have a psychothist, and a therapist, and i take medication. I have even been to Psych wards and stayed for weeks at a time. I have even been to Long-Term-Care Wards (for 7str8 months). Nothing ever helps. Sometimes i think its getting better then boom; Right back where i started from. I dont know what to do anymore. Sometimes i think Suicide is the only way to end all the pain. But that will cause severe pain to all those who care about me. So that would be selfish. But what can i do to get raid of this pain. I think thats how its going to end up though. Suicide. No other soultion. Tried it all. Now i even have a drug dependence to go along with everything esle. PainKiLLers. I just want be free from everything. Not attention, or "happy pills", or whatever. Just to be Normal. but i dont think that will ever be so. Any suggestions?

Don't listen to the people who say you need to find God. If it's not right for you, it'll only make you feel worse.

I find that talking to people always helps. Also, I take a walk when things get REALLY bad. It helps a lot. It's a way to escape.

And, honestly, psychiatrists can make you feel like crap. I don't go to one anymore. I had a conflict with my last one, so now I get my meds from my family doctor. Keep the therapist, though. Don't be afraid to open up to him/her.

Also, you could try starting a project or something. Something to look forward to, and something to give you a sense of accomplishment when you've completed it.

Sorry. That's about all I can offer.

Depression is not an easy thing & is frustrating as hell. Sounds like from your description you maybe bipolar. I myself was on Lexapro for a while and found it didn't work for my depression. I started exercising more because my doctor told me that when you exercise you release more endorphines which is the chemical that makes you "feel good". There are always new product out on the market as well. Depending on how serious your depression is, ask your doctor about Cymbalta. It contains norepinephrine & ceratonin(SP?) Have you tried looking up mental heatlh on some of the medical websites like Web MD? Maybe some ideas there. Sorry I'm not too helpful :-(

I have had to suffer through depression for almost 20 years or more. I had a nervous break down more than ten years ago. It is very hard, but just do not give up. I take Prozac to help me with how I feel. I am very hard on myself and am very self critical. Learn to love yourself and learn to enjoy life. At this time, try to be with those that love and care for you. Never hide away from those that can give you the strength you need. Never give up finding the answer to your depression, the remedy will be found one day. At this time of your life, just concentrate on getting better. Write down your negative thoughts and next to them write positive thoughts. Act on the positive thoughts no matter what. Focus yourself on the positive ideas and make them a habit. You can find many medications for depression, one may work for you. Please take care and never give up. Life can be very good, if we learn to love ourselves like we should. I need to stop and think positively myself, you are not alone. You are a good person, you just need to believe it.

You are honestly telling everyone how the system of medication doesn't work. Some keep preaching that it does. Only personal struggle to overcome the depression from disappointments will work. Don't give up . Maybe you now have some friends that are not in the winners circle and you can rely on them to help you. Cheers and let us know the way that others have found to work.

Yes you have a problem and you have taken the first step in admitting it.
I struggle with depressing as well and I made dission not to take medication about 4 years ago and to make the best of life and to enjoy life. I gave my life to Christ and now life my life the way God wants me to and i have not looked back. Yes i have bad days and weeks were all I do is cry and don't want to live and don't want anybody around me but I stay positive no matter what and if i have to force myself to have positive thoughts then I do so. As far as killing yourself rember 2 things you leave loved ones behind who do not and will never understand why and most importantly you are going to go to HELL and that is much worse than what you are going through at this moment.

Be positive I know it is not easy and if you are a christian ask your church to pray for you and if you are not think about it and go to a church and speak to the preacher you might be very surprised.

I will rember you in my prays and be wishing you all the best of happiness in your life.

sorry for any spelling mistakes

My friend Desmond, again, I have never seen so many people in pain as I have on this site...sometimes depression is a chemical imbalance. I know you need the healing of the Lord in your life. You seem to have tried everything but the help of our Father, who loves you so much...I can't stand seeing people so sad, to the point of feeling they are so worthless they would end their life. Sometimes I think old Satan puts these thoughts in your head, so he can keep you from turning to the Lord..just another number for satan, and one less to serve God. Please my friend, forget the thoughts of suicide, you are too good to waste a life and make satan happy. Please, start reading your bible, and start finding things about yourself that are great, and I bet there are many. Even the Bible talks against so called men of science..they just can't heal like the Lord can. I am not preaching to you, I just want to share my wonderful love with you..please, please, don't do anything bad...God loves you and hears your crys. God Bless you and my prayers are with you.

While we stay ahead of those things we are afraid of, busy obtaining the things we want, we sometimes stop to savour the good things and the fear catches up, when your guard is down. Keep this in mind. You matter as much as anyone else does. You need to step up and realize this. You may be able to help others, too.
