Data-mining is gathering information from Cookies put on your computer by web sites so certain information can be tracked. Usually, it's for advertising reasons. They simply want to know if you visited their site, saw their ad or clicked on their banner. More malicious ones want to know what type of sites you visit in hopes of sending you advertising via pop-ups. Warehousing is just storing of that data so it can be analyzed as a whole. .
