If your friend is sending money to you, you should pay for the wire fees.

If you don't want to do that, then have him send an international money order or a check!

Go to a bank and get a foreign bank draft (it's like a cheque) a lot cheaper. Would take a couple of days to get and then it needs to be sent to you so not a fast way.

if you have a indian bank account or something, they can deposit into your bank account
