It'll be sore if you just started and your muscles aren't used to it.

The soreness that you feel following an exercise program is micro trauma though you may get answers saying it's lactic acid. Those people have no idea what they're taking about.Lactic acid builds up as a waste product from exercise and is whisked away when normal blood flow returns. It is even possible that depending on the intensity of your work out that you'll continue to have soreness after every one.I still do and I've been working out for 22 years
The micro trauma is normal. You may need to diet because sit ups or any other exercise don't target fat deposition in a specific area. That's more nonsense that you'll be told that you need to ignore.Eat right, continue your sit ups and try going for a walk a few times a day.It takes time so be patient.Good luck

If u just started, then yes...it's supposed to hurt. That lets you know it's working. But in order to see them then you have to get rid of the body fat on top of the muscles...meaning do more than just ab exercises. Cardio and aerobic workouts along with eating right will help out a lot.

if your health parameters allows this ab exercises you can continue to do. Muscular exercises will cause pain in respective muscle group because of accumulation some biological substances this will take two -three days to get absorbed.

yea whenever you work out its supposed t hurt (unless you half-assed it). & starrwood is probly sum fat *** who needs exercise her damn self so just excuse her. shes jus hatin on ppl that try to better themselves.

but as i was saying, yea workouts that hurt are the only way to go because it pushes your body past its limits (thats where you get the pain from). after a while the pain will go into just soreness that you will be used to by then so it wont b a big deal.
