Because when church is over, everyone usually claps, and thats enough noise to wake you up, at least for me it is, I honestly try to stay awake for the sermon, but haven't been successfull yet

My guess is that the sermon is boring to you, and you perk up when it's over because you don't have to sit there listening to someone drone on and on.
This applies to boring classes as well, although it's harder to pull it off there and get away with it.
It might also be you're not getting enough sleep at night.

Because todays culture feels urged to go and pressured to go when they don't really want to anymore. The people who are really interested in The Word don't get tired in church. The ones that do get tired are only there because of social and moral responsibilities and have completely forgotten the reason for going in the first place.

Because the human brain is conditioned to begin idling when it hears repetitious, monotonous droning of any kind.
Most school teachers have the same effect.
But, you get what you pay for. If you want professional entertainment, go to a strip club or Las Vegas.

you should not maybe you do not get enough sleep the night before it is no good staying out till 2 am and getting up for church at 10

If you're falling asleep in church, then it's the wrong church for you. You should be uplifted when in church, not sedated. I suggest shopping around for a different church until you find one you like

because the pastor is usually talking from the Bible that is why it is called a sermon idiot!... it is boring! just watch Life Time television you will learn all you need from there,

I pay attention in church and make sure to listen and watch as closely as I can. Never know what you might learn, even if it's a hard lesson.........

You need to come to my church..... You won't go to sleep in there...... But i do know what you are talking about..... LOL we've all been there.... Don't know why that is...Maybe it's the lighting, or that soft humble voice speaking.....lol

i dont. dim wits are known to sleep during the sermon, because they dont understand crap what is being talked about.
